Prepare to be in awe! On this trip we ventured into the Louvre, and let me tell you, it’s a spectacular blend of history and art, throwing a party like no other! Five stars? Absolutely, but believe me, that’s just scratching the surface of the excitement. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking an awe-inspiring experience.
Pro tip: We highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance. With our pre-ordered tickets in hand, we bypassed the daunting line snaking around the glass pyramid.
The folks without tickets? Well, they had a much longer wait. Before entering the glass pyramid, you need to go through a security check. The line to get through the security check without tickets was 200-300 people deep! Our line, which was divided in to time slots, was about one hundred people.
Save yourself the torture and reserve those tickets!
And a shoutout to the weather – a comfy 70°F/22°C with a touch of clouds. This fortuitous combination proved to be a blessing as we patiently stood in our line for over an hour to pass through security. But truth be told, even if it was scorching, it’d still be worth every moment (just in case though…wear sunscreen!).
Inside, it’s like a labyrinth of wonder. Stepping into the vast lobby, we were greeted with a sense grandeur, loads of people, and charming cafes. Speaking of cafes, they didn’t break the bank, which was a pleasant surprise in France! We could have spent DAYS here. What more does one need?
Art? Oh boy, they’ve got a treasure trove. We have visited esteemed museums worldwide, including the British Museum in London and the Getty in Los Angeles, and were astounded by the Louvre’s magnificence. It surpassed our expectations and left an indelible impression.
For Moses, the Egyptian exhibits were a highlight. It was as if he was reconnecting with an old friend (or a conquered foe?), immersing himself in the nostalgia of past stories.
Now here’s the deal – we’re eagerly looking forward to round two. This was just a teaser, and we’re raring for more.
The Louvre Museum is an experience like no other. It beckons to be explored, admired, and cherished. Moses wholeheartedly recommends it, and we echo his sentiment.
Prepare to be captivated by the sheer brilliance of the Louvre.
